Midwest Packaging Equipment Company was formed in May of 2000 as a sales and service company of manual and automated bag packaging equipment to the feed, seed and pet food industries. We started our company supporting the product line of Newlong Machine Works, LTD. In April 2002, Newlong Machine Works, LTD (the marketing division of Newlong) and Newlong Industrial Company, LTD (the manufacturing division of Newlong) ended their nearly 60-year relationship due to irreconcilable differences.

Newlong Industrial Company, LTD, being the design, engineering and manufacturing backbone, needed to establish an oversees presence. It was in September of 2003, Newlong Industrial Co., LTD. and Midwest Packaging Equipment Company teamed to establish Newlong Industrial’s North American sales and service office. Newlong Industrial’s Fijioka Plant is ISO 9001:2000 approved for not only manufacturing, but also more especially, for their design of industrial bag making and bag closing sewing machines.

Today, we service a much broader range of packaging customers to include: flour, chemicals, sand, geotextile, spices and ingredients, birds and much more. As an independently owned branch office for Newlong Industrial Co., LTD, Midwest Packaging Equipment Company can customize, manufacture, supply and service the system you need for your bag packaging or bag making application.
